WASHINGTON – U.S. mobile-phone subscriptions rose to 213 million in 2005, 28.3 million more than a year earlier, the Federal Communications Commission said.
Average monthly use of U.S. wireless voice services increased 17 percent to more than 12 hours per user, the FCC said. Average per-minute revenue fell to 7 cents from 9 cents.
