Stockholm – TeliaSonera said Wednesday that it would reorganize into four product-based units Jan. 1 as it worked to increase annual revenue by 2008 to 100 billion kronor, or $14 billion.
The Nordic region’s largest telecommunications operator said the four units would be mobility services, broadband services, integrated enterprise services and a unit responsible for activities in Eurasia. The product units will be responsible for operations in the Nordic and Baltic markets while the Eurasia unit will handle the company’s expansion in markets like Turkey, Kazakhstan and Georgia.
The company, based in Stockholm, said it did not expect to cut jobs as part of the changes. Last year, TeliaSonera had just under 88 billion kronor in sales.
